About EuWikiEngine

EuWikiEngine is a wiki web cgi program written entirely in the Euphoria programming language. It is an open source project created by Ryan Johnson and Jeremy Cowgar. It uses a Creole parser created by Derek Parnell. EuWikiEngine is currently under active development.

Release History

Version 1.3 (2008-07-11) - alpha is released. I am still finishing the default pages, theme design, and a few other features. EuWikiEngine is now being used for the Official Euphoria Wiki.

Version 1.2 was never released but was used for this site, until some major security holes were...um...discovered. Once they were fixed, this site was put back online. I made so many changes, I decided to just call it version 1.3 (alpha).

Version 1.0 (2008-05-28) - has been released.

Notes

The EuWikiEngine was started by me, Ryan W. Johnson in 2005, but was re-written with much help from jeremy_c and DerekParnell[?].

I am learning so much from working on this open source project, such as different coding styles, how to use new Euphoria 4.0 syntax, how to use SVN, the benefits of using templates rather than hard-coded html, creole, css, cookies, encrypting passwords, and a better understanding of html! Many thanks to jeremy_c and DerekParnell[?] doing a lot of work on this project, and thanks to Cricket, euphoric[?], ne1uno[?], and others who have helped test, find bugs, and give me ideas on how to improve it. EuWikiEngine is under active development because it is being used by The new official Euphoria wiki.

Here are some things you can do:

• Play by editing the SandBox. No real information lives there, it is a simple place to learn how to format.
• Create a page for yourself.
• Fix a page yourself ("someone on the internet is wrong!").
• Go eat a cookie and drink some chocolate milk.
